12" x 9.5", mixed media, collage, assemblage. The work consists of a background of watercolor and ink on paper and digital photography. The photo of the crows was taken near the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier in Long Beach. The artwork was inspired after spending time in the Arizona Desert. These elements are collaged and glued on a wood backing, then decoupaged. The frame is made from repurposed wood which is hand sanded and stained with Danish wood oil. The exterior hardware is distressed by soaking in a solution of white vinegar and lemon juice. The work is completed with my signature hot iron brand on the front, left side of the frame. Ready to hang on your wall with attached wire.
